Acting Classes

I will be launching two classes in Chichester in the Spring of 2026

My experience of actor training in Los Angeles opened my eyes to what I feel we miss in the UK; regular acting classes. Not just the occasional workshop, or a weekend intensive, but regular, weekly classes. And to me it makes sense. If you don't exercise a skill you lose it. If you learn to play tennis, then never practice, you're going to be rusty when it comes to competing in a match. Chances are you won't play at the top of your game. And when a self-tape request comes through, it makes it harder to nail it.

That's why I've decided to launch two classes in Chichester this year. More information will appear on this website and via my instagram account in early March 2026. Depending on the demand I'll start running classes end March / early April.

So, if you're interested in ongoing practice and growth as an actor, watch this space!

These classes will be open to professional actors and acting students (18+). If there is demand for an amateur class I will look to begin one at a later date.

CLASS 1: Camera Technique

Using partnered scenes written specifically for camera, this class is designed for actors and acting students who wish to develop their camera technique. It will help you strengthen your understanding of the subtlety and nuance of camera performance whilst also exploring how free and creative acting for camera can be.

In addition this class will also help you develop your self-tape skills. You will explore how to make the most of your self-tape castings and delve into what it actually means to "make interesting choices". You will be given self-tapes to record on a regular basis.

CLASS 2: Scene Study

Using stage play scripts, this class is designed for actors and acting students who wish to develop their general acting skills. Scenes will be provided (or chosen by students) and worked on in class. Elements covered will include script analysis, understanding human behaviour (emotional, physical, vocal), and how to develop your intuition and creativity as an actor.
